Violife launches dairy-free sour cream accross 883 Walmart stores

Violife, one of the leading brands of dairy-free cheese in the US, has launched a dairy-free sour cream alternative in 883 Walmart locations, which promises to be the perfect swap in all recipes that require sour cream. Called Just Like Sour Cream, joins a growing portfolio that already includes Greek-style white feta alternatives, Mozzarella flavor slices, vegan Cheddar, and many more.

Violife says its sour cream alternative – which is expected to retail for $4.99 (€4.67) – offers the same creamy, rich, and tangy taste of sour cream, but without the dairy.

Senior brand manager, Debra Yoo, commented: “It is important for us to continue expanding our portfolio to offer delicious dairy-free alternatives for everyone to enjoy. We created Just Like Sour Cream to have a creamy, cooling, and tangy flavor so fans won’t miss out on what they know and love!”

The brand also says it’s Just Like Sour Cream pairs well with its dairy-free cheese varieties, making it easier than ever for consumers to incorporate more dairy-free alternatives into their diet. All of the company’s products are non-GMO and free from dairy, lactose, soy, palm oil, artificial flavors, preservative, nuts, and gluten.

It is currently not known when, or if, this product might be available in Europe or the rest of the world.
